Would you like to learn more about all our handy connectors and adaptors?

We are pleased to be able to support you with our excellent service, quality, and products. If you are unsure of the difference between the multimode and single mode connectors and adaptors, it is safe to say that they both work, but they do so in different ways.

A multimode cable is fibre that travels over longer distances at a lower frequency. While a single mode cable travels over shorter distances at a much higher frequency.

Singlemode cables have broader bandwidth, meaning that they can carry more data, at a greater speed, over longer distances. This allows single mode cables to be more efficient than multimode cables.

Multimode connectors are used for longer-distance applications where the signal is travelling at a lower frequency. These cables are mainly used to transmit data from one device to another, like in a computer network or tv network.

Singlemode connectors are used for shorter-distance applications where the signal is travelling at a higher frequency. These cables are mainly used to transmit data from one device to another, like in a computer or mp3 player.

Singlemode connectors and adaptors allow electrical signals to be carried in cables. You will find all our connectors and adaptors in this section for every type of fibre, whether it's multimode or singlemode.
