The Cat 5e cable contains four pairs of twisted copper wires that not only conduct power and information but reduce the system noise as well. The most typical use for the Cat 5e is to transport ethernet between a modem or router and the connecting device, with a performance of up to 100MHz.
This cable is sheathed in a sturdy and malleable casing called LS0H, which stands for Low Smoke Zero Halogen. This makes the cable much safer and more practical for use in both home and office environments as if the cable is exposed to high levels of heat, it is designed to produce minimal smoke and no halogen, which can be harmful if breathed in.
The snagless boot protector means that the cable won’t snag on furnishings or get caught on, for example, a cabinet when you’re organising it or pulling it out, and neither will the cable come apart.
