Each cable features an external and an internal design to complement the other cables in the CW1308 series. The internal-only cables are professionally crafted products with an internal woven braid and coated in a rigid PVC outer layer; the external functionality is afforded by the protective UV-resistant outer layer of LSOH. This feature also provides a safer working environment as obstructions are less easily faced with less cumbersome cables. The multi-pair CW1308b is 14 AWG and is fully screened, but for even greater protection, recognised static-dissipative properties are available in the form of a foil-covered braid. This makes it an ideal product for installation in communication rooms or offices and offers extra security against electromagnetic interference.
These cables have been designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions with proven tests such as the Salt Spray Council International (SSCI) and pass BS EN 50082-7. An external high-strength PVC coating fully encases the internal core of the cable. The PVC coating has LSOH installed, so it’s perfect for areas that may be subject to fire.
These cables provide the ideal solution for copper telephone installations in commercial and home offices. Features are available in 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200 pairs. They are constructed using a braid and LSOH mesh carrier under a PVC coating.
